5月、6月はバラの花が美しく咲き誇る季節。
通学路で、ご近所さんの庭で、いつもの散歩道の片隅で、
「やっと私たちの季節がきたわ！」と叫ばんばかりに、誇り高くそして可憐に花開く。
ワインレッド、ベビーピンク、ライトイエローに、眩しいほどのピュアホワイト。
小さいのや大きいの、ツボミがいっぱいのやもう少しで咲き終えてしまうもの。
どれもそれぞれに可愛くて、思わず足を止め魅入ってしまう。
「ポエティーク・ビジュー」のデビューとして発表した『R O S E』コレクション。
よく、このコレクションをご覧になるお客様から、
”バラがお好きなんですね！”と言われることが多いけれど、
実はこの『R O S E』コレクション、
インスピレーションになっているのは、お花のバラだけではないのです。
もちろん、バラは大好きな花の一つですが！

『R O S E』はメイドとして働くある女性の名前。
これは彼女のストーリーです。
完璧主義で常にしっかり者のローズは、責任感のあるとても頼もしい大人の女性。
一番上まできゅっとボタン留めされた、アイロン済みの真白いブラウスに、
櫛で綺麗に整えてきつく束ねた髪（そう、一本の乱れもなく！）、
マットなワインカラーの口紅は、少しのヨレもなくいつでも完璧に引かれている。
職場じゃぁ、誰も聞こうとしないから、
彼女のプライベートは謎のベールに包まれたまま。
「ねぇ、ローズって恋人いるのかしら？」
「きっと独りよ、毎晩9時にはちゃんとベッドに入ってそう！」
「彼女ってお家でもあんなにきちっとしてるのかしら。。？」
「正に”ミニマリスト”って感じよね。」
ある金曜日の夜遅く、
最後に仕事を終えたメイド仲間の一人が帰ろうとした、その時でした。
（あら、これきっとローズの忘れ物だわ！）
更衣室の鏡の前に、きれいな”彫り”のある小さなつげ櫛があるのに気が付きました。
こんなものを持ち歩くのは、ローズの他にいませんから。
（明日は土曜日か。。そうだわ、お家に届けてあげましょ！）
あくる日の午後3時過ぎ、
彼女は、少し緊張した面持ちでローズの家へと向かいました。
（デニムなんてはいてきちゃった。。。こんな格好で気を悪くしたりしないかしら？）
ピンポーン。
彼女は一度大きく深呼吸して、思い切ってブザーを鳴らしました。
「はーい、今開けまーす！５階へいらして。」
なんだかいつもと違うローズの声。
（あれ？？住所を間違えたかしら？？）
アンバーの香る古い木の階段を、一歩一歩不安げに上って行くと、
大きな扉の前でローズらしき女性が立って待っていました。
「いらっしゃい！さぁ、どうぞ中に入って。」
（あら、なんだか別人みたい。。）
ローズがゆっくりと扉を開け、彼女が一歩足を踏み入れたその瞬間、
「わぁー、素敵っ！！」
彼女は思わず声をあげてしまいました。
そこで彼女が目にしたのは・・・
大きなガラス窓から差し込む、柔らかい陽の光。
それに照らされて輝く、ピンクベージュ色の広いリビングルーム。
イギリス風のアンティーク家具が、部屋中にセンス良く置かれていて、
レースのカーテン越しには古い詩集がずらりと並べられている。

そして、真ん中の大きな丸テーブルの上には、
淡いピンク色の見事なバラのブーケが綺麗に飾られて、
なんとも優しい香りが部屋中に漂っている。
ハァ〜、と思わずため息。
「アールグレーでいいかしら？」
玄関で立ち尽くす彼女の気を引くように、そっとお茶を勧めるローズ。
そこでやっと、彼女はそれが本物のローズだと気づく。
ソファに腰を下ろして、優雅にお茶を入れる彼女の姿は、
まるで別人を見ているよう。。。
自由にほどかれて下ろされた柔らかそうな髪、
シルクのローブを無造作に羽織って、
大胆に開いた胸元で光るのは、クラシックなチェーンのネックレス、
長いピアスが耳元で大きく揺れてる。
あの、堅苦しいローズが？！
アールグレーをゆっくりとすすりながら、とってもリラックスした優しい笑みを浮かべてる。
こんなローズ、見たことがないっ！！
そのうち、
奥の部屋からオペラの音に混じって、誰か男の人の声がしたと思うと、
「ダーリン、ちょっと散歩に行ってくるよ。」
だって！！！

自分の中に自分だけの魅力を見つけて輝かせること、
そんな勇気をもらったみたい。
